Main objective
Offer school grants to 100 school-age children in the communes of Dame Marie (50 children) and Abricots (50 children), departments of Grande-Anse, Haiti, for the school period of 2022 – 2023.
Secondary objectives
- Recruiting 100 school-age children
- Provide conventional supplies to 100 children selected in the project
- Cover 100% school fees for the 100 children selected in the project
Expected results
50 children of school age in the commune of Dame Marie are selected as beneficiaries of the project 50 school-age children in the commune of Les Abricots are selected as beneficiaries of the project 100 children selected as beneficiaries of the project are provided with the conventional supplies necessary for their schooling School fees are paid in full for the 100 children selected by the project including entrance fees and monthly payment fees.
Project activities
Conduct awareness-raising campaigns among the parents of the beneficiaries in the municipalities concerned by the project. Methodology / project implementation
The organization initiating the project
The project is initiated by the organization DWARTOK Inc. who designed it and is committed to implementing it professionally? The project will be repetitive over several years. Still, the experiences of the first school year 2022 – 2023 will be very revealing to make the project’s activities sustainable.
Parents
The project will be based largely on the commitment of the parents of the children who will be selected as beneficiaries of the project. In the education of children, parents have always played a leading role, especially in the moral and psychological support of their children. Parents will also be encouraged to encourage their children in their work and school performance.
Kids
The project will retain children of school age. That is to say between 6 and 17 years old, according to the standards of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP). Beneficiary children will be selected without discrimination on grounds of race, gender, or religious affiliation. The choices of the beneficiary children will be made according to strict and well-established criteria in particular: their socio-economic situations, their ages, and the formal support of their parents.
Schools
At least one partner school will be selected per municipality and depending on the size of the municipality, number of places available within the school according to the needs of the project. In the event that several establishments are available in a municipality, the choice of parent/child may also be a selection criterion. It should also be mentioned that the choice of school will be made according to selection criteria including the reputation of the school, its academic, pedagogical, and administrative structures.
